Review for Casa Rafael Inn: 2/5I stayed at Casa Rafael Inn for a short trip, and while it has its comforts, there are a few drawbacks to consider. Overall, I had a good stay and was able to sleep well, though there were a few notable setbacks. The hotel was easy to locate since it was situated right in the downtown area. Upon arrival, I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was decent and well-maintained. ​My standard room was a little cramped, but it was kept clean. The bed was a bit firm and rigid for my liking, but manageable. While the Wi-Fi was free, the signal was unfortunately quite weak inside the room. I also noticed that the soundproofing wasn't ideal; I could clearly hear noises coming from outside, including footsteps, people laughing, and the sound of tricycles passing by. ​One safety concern I had was the mirror window, which doubled as a fire exit. The door lock was easily accessible and didn't feel particularly secure. Given these factors, the room rate felt a little high for a standard room, but generally, it was a pleasant experience.

*western review* My friends and family stayed in this hotel for 4 nights before moving to another location. They have 2 deluxe rooms which are very good, the other rooms are very small but at the price you cant really complain. The staff were all fantastic and always would help if they could. The hotel is fairly new so modern, the rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is provided but its not the best, you order the day before and its cooked and placed in a hot plate where it will stay until you come to collect it. It has free wifi but during our time there it was not working more than it worked. If on a budget and just looking for a nice clean place to stay then this is a good place for you.

Stayed for two nights at the Deluxe room with balcony. The bed and pillows are almost what you'd get with higher priced hotels - fluffy and comfy! Room and bathroom were very clean. It's a basic room but for its price, it's so worth it. ||||The only downside is that the walls are thin that we can hear people talking in the hallway, or maybe the other guests were just very loud. It would also be better if the breakfast was improved. I ordered the chorizo, which was really good but they serve only one small piece.

The staff are so wonderful, the beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works really well. The only thing stopping a 5 star review is the room size. But the price is reasonable. I guess you get spoiled in America!!!

Service- 5/5- the staff were all attentive and hospitable Cleanliness- 5/5 - room is small but super clean with toiletries except for toothbrush Price- 5/5- super affordable Security- 3/4- only issue is lights in common areas were mostly turned off maybe they’re conserving. The room that we occupied has a small extra door that has an access to the maintenance area? I dont what is that for but it’s too scary. We actually didnt able to sleep because of that. Overall it’s all good. Walking distance to SM Gensan and has parking space.
